cordHaving a baby is the most precious gift we could ever receive!! I mean, the moment we find out we’re expecting I know for me and my family, the smiles were all day everyday.  I can still remember seeing and talking with my nice and professional OB/GYN! I can also remember her mentioning to me many times, whenever I visited, if we had thought about cord blood banking the baby stem cells that would come from her umbilical cord. I informed her that I never gave it any thought-especially since I had heard the cost of it was pretty expensive. To be honest, I now wish I had at least considered it!

I really wish I had just sat down with my OBGYN to ask her more details. At that time I really didn’t think I understood how important cord banking was. I think my decision of saying no was based on me not being knowledgeable about it.

Trust me, if I had understood more and actually took my time to learn about how cord blood banking worked, I most definitely would have chosen to save my baby’s cord blood.  Now CariCord is helping many parents like myself understand more about how their cord blood bank operates, and how your baby’s stem cells can help with diseases .

Did you know that cord blood could literally save your child’s life?

As a parent I know there’s nothing in this world that would keep me from doing what is best for my baby’s life. Whether it deals with the food he consumes, the clothes he wears, and right down to making the right decisions for his health. It is my job to make sure he gets the best health care!

Do you know that Medical professionals are learning more everyday about using our body’s own resources to help with diseases by using stem cells? As we learn more there will be even more opportunities to use stem cell therapies as opposed to drugs or surgery. Now, that’s a heath break-through!
