While the public schooling revolution brought on by the Industrial Revolution has done a lot of good for the world, not every child is suited for that environment.

If you’re a parent who isn’t happy with the schooling that’s on offer in range of where you live, you’ve never had too many options.

On the one hand there’s homeschooling, which is affordable but incredibly time-consuming if you do it yourself as a parent. As an alternative, you can work with one or more of Tutor Hunt qualified tutors, who can assist your child in receiving the one-on-one lessons required to meet their academic goals.

There’s also pure online education, where self-pacing is possible, but that may lack the interactive human touch.

A Helping Hand

Now we have a fourth option: online tutoring. The key difference here is that you have a live human being sitting at the other end of the interaction who can learn to understand your child’s specific needs and problems.

So, let’s look at the various benefits that online tutoring can provide to your children.

A Safe Environment

Communal schools can be intimidating places for many children and in some cases places of real danger. In some parts of the world, bullying and cyberbullying is on the rise at schools. In parts of the United States there’s a small but real chance your child could be involved in a school shooting. The commute from and to home is also dangerous.

Online tutoring reduces or eliminates these dangers to a great degree. On the other hand, schools are important for social interaction, but you can always manage and arrange play dates with other children outside of formal schooling. In fact, online tutoring also give you control over the types of children your own child will interact with.

Custom Quality

When you enroll your child at a school you don’t get much say in the quality of individual teachers. When you use online tutoring services you often get to curate which tutors your children are exposed to. For example, there’s a site  that offers  online english tutors – preply.com

You can browse the profiles of each tutor before deciding who you want to do the job. At a school you have to trust in the hiring skills of the board.

A Bird’s Eye View

When your child is having problems at school academically, it can be month before you ever hear anything about it. Online tutoring and computer technology often allows you to see live reports of your child’s performance or even go through recordings of their work.

Having access to this information means that you can intervene quickly before a minor difficulty becomes a serious problem.

Quality Time

Freeing yourself and your children from a school’s annual schedule means a great deal more freedom to schedule your life. If you need to travel for work or want to go on holiday you don’t have to leave your kids behind or disrupt their studies. As long as there’s an internet connection they can keep at it.

Individual Attention

Every child is different. Some kids excel past their peers and end up being bored and unchallenged. Others struggle a bit and may end up frustrated and demotivated. Using online tutors means that your kid can work at the pace they can handle, whatever that may be.

A Brave New World

It’s a great time to be a parent thanks to the tools that are now available. Online tutoring is just one of many aspects of the education revolution that will help ensure our children’s future.

To recap, here are the main points to consider when online tutors are concerned:

     It’s safer

     You control the quality

     Your kid’s education is transparent

     More control over schedules

     You’re paying for individual attention

So, is online tutoring right for you? Hopefully you now have enough reasons to make a decision.

  • I think that it’s a good idea. They can help other kids study without physically having to be there. There is online schooling so it’s not much different from that.
