One thing for sure, when the Spring Season hit, you can bet your bottom dollar those April showers will follow along soon. Just like today, the weatherman has issued April showers for the next few days and what better way to stay indoors and enjoy a few “Make Believe Toys”!

Enjoying a few toys and playing a few games while the rain falls will definitely help to keep the kids entertained. As you know rainy days can be such a drag for kids and even parents. But not anymore when you introduce your children to these awesome toys from #LearningResources #HABA

Keeping the kids imagination flowing will be a breeze with these awesome creative toys. First, I want to share with you the Learning Resources Pretend & Play® Calculator Cash Register :

Your children will have fun creating their own store, and learning math skills plus pressing the buttons! They can use their imaginations as they learn about basic currency and will love the “cha-ching” sound when the drawer opens to distribute the money. The credit card slides in the slot and makes a beeping sound as well!  It’s available at Target  and recommended for ages 3+

On to our next rainy day make believe toy, this one use to be my oldest daughter favorite. With me being a nurse, she used to always ask for a pretend doctors toy set for her birthday. This one is called the Learning Resources Pretend & Play Doctor Set.

Now your kids can pre-tend to take care of you and their siblings. With this set, they will have everything they need to do so, like: stethoscope, bandage, thermometer, blood pressure cup, eyeglasses, cellphone and so much more. The set is recommended for ages Pre-K and is also available at Target.

Let’s move on to the next pretend toy, it’s called the Learning Resources Farmer’s Market Color Sorting Set

This cute set will be great for teaching your child how to recognize their colors and fruit and also will help with developing sorting skills with bushels of realistic, relationally sized produce. Perfect for dramatic play and nutrition lessons too.

Includes:

• 25 foods
• 5 baskets
• 5 stickers for labeling – red, yellow, orange, green and purple
• Activity guide

Recommended for ages 3+ and also at Target

Our last rainy day pretend toy is from HABA, it’s called HABA Dancing Eggs!

Who will be able to grasp the most eggs thus scoring a lot of points? Only the one who can firmly clasp the most eggs in the most unlikely positions will have, at the end of the game, a chance of winning. But it is not so easy as the eggs bounce wickedly about and may also change owner… and as soon as somebody drops one of their eggs, the game is over. Includes 9 rubber eggs and 1 wooden egg  and is recommended for ages 5+.

Well, there you have it, 4 awesome “Make Believe Toys” that will keep your children occupied during those rainy April shower days.
