This pass weekend was Father’s Day and my family and I celebrated that day a little different then usual. We had an opportunity to visit Michigan’s Adventure and WOW, was it FUN!

Now, to be honest, I really don’t know where to begin form the moment we stepped foot into the park the kids and my adrenalin were at an all time high, let’s say we were like little bitty children…lol!

When we first walked in the gates we were greeted by Charlie Brown and Lucy from the Peanut Gallery, the next thing I saw was everyone running over to them especially the adults to take pictures with these two legends.

I couldn’t help but laugh at my husband and son in-law….it was so cute seeing how they were the first to take a picture. As we finished with the pictures, we all stepped back and took in the awesome view of the park, trying to decide where to go next. It was just so much to see and do at Michigan’s Adventure!

I mean really, with Michigan’s Adventure being the largest amusement and water park in Michigan that offers over 60 rides and attractions for thrill seekers of all ages. You really don’t know where to begin…lol!

They have Roller Coasters like Thunderhawk and Shivering Timbers, or Thrill Rides like Grand Rapids or HydroBlaster, and even a Ferris wheel

It’s the perfect park for those thrill riders like my kids, no matter if you enjoy those fast or slow rides, Michigan’s Adventure has you and your family covered! You have the Family Rides like the Grand Carousel or Timbertown Railway and please don’t forget to stop by Funland Farm!

Let me tell you the Funland Farm was Awesome, in the words of “Peter Griffin” from Family Guy!!!! We saw so many animals, like llamas, alpacas, a mini horse and a miniature donkey and much more! One of the llamas had his eye on my daughter the whole time she was by the fence, we couldn’t but help but LOL!

We had a chance to feed them all and interact with them. The Funland Farm is included with park admission, Funland Farm (open 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily)

When I tell you there was so much to see at Michigan’s Adventure, there is! The kids rode just about everything, but the most fun I think they had was at the Beach Party and Half Pint Paradise areas, it was so hot that day that I decided to rest in one of their private cabanas  while the kids played I the water. They had a beautiful, spacious, area of the pool, a huge Funnel Of Fear where everyone could plunge down into the water, of course the Lazy River and much more! WildWater Adventure, had it all for the entire family to have a splash-tastic time!

I so enjoyed playing the water gun game, I told the nice young lady I was going to win and beat them all, well I did. Check me out here:

Well, as you see we had a BLAST and even though we wish we could have stayed longer it was time for me to sing the Carol Burnette song, “I’m So Glad We Had This Time Together, Just to ride a few rides and swim along too, seems we just got started and before you know ittttttttt…comes a time we have to say “SO LONG!!!!!!! GOODBYE”!

Now, keep in mind that Michigan’s Adventure provides fun all season long; check out a full list of upcoming events covering everything from a tribute to Armed Forces to Scout Days and American Heroes Week at

  1. Wow! Seems that this place is one where you can have only a lot of fun! You are right! If we want to have nice family memories, we need to take a visit to where memories will be forever sketched in every ones mind! I love this saying! And I love good family memories! So need to visit Michigan’s Adventure or a place like this!

  2. Looks like you and the family had an amazing time! i didnt know Michigan had a park like this. Looks fun and very family friendly!

  3. How cool is Michigan’s Adventure?! When my kids were younger, amusement parks were one of our favorite places to go. While I’m a nervous Nellie on rides, I made it through most of the rides. (with the exception of anything that spun me around) Your family looks like they had such a great time .. everything from hanging out with Lucy and Linus .. to fun carnival games. Thanks for bringing us along! x

  4. Gemille Sleweon on

It’s always nice dedicating a day to spend with family. When I was little, I spent my summers in Indiana with my dad and we would always go to Michigan’s Adventure. This post was so nostalgic for me!

  5. This place sounds like an amazing place for the family. I cant wait till my kids are bigger so we can all enjoy adventures like this one. What a great trip!!

  6. Those Peanuts characters are adorable! I miss American amusement parks, I’ve been to a few here in Europe, but it just isn’t the same. I’m visiting the States in September for the first time in six years and my sister has promised me an amusement park and all the Taco Bell I can eat… I can’t wait!

  7. Wow, this looks like a blast…reminds me of Knott’s Berry Farm with all of the Peanuts Gang! And the water park portion sounds like great fun…give me a lazy river and I’m good to go! Love all of the fun family time you enjoyed.

  8. I love roller coasters! Now that my kids are older (and taller) they can join me on the fun. Michigan’s Adventure sounds like the perfect place for a family day.

  9. My family would LOVE to spend a day or two here. I’d happily sit and watch from the ground as they rode rides and all of that. I’m so afraid of heights, it’s not even funny. LOL! I wonder if we can do a quick weekend jaunt this way before school starts.

  10. I hadn’t heard of Michigan Adventure before, but it looks like a fantastic family destination. At some point we plan to explore more of Michigan with the kids. We did have a fun summer vacation by the lake a couple years ago though!

  11. I had no idea there was such a cool place so near me. I just have to get passports for everyone since I’m across the border but it looks like a fun place to go once we have them. I love petting zoos.

  12. What a great time you guys had. It’s like amazement park and zoo (with the real animals) plus state fair all in one (with the games). If we ever go to Michigan we would love to go here!!

  13. I love going to Michigan Adventure! It’s only about 3 hours from my house so I used to pop over there all of the time! It looks like you guys had a wonderful time there, it’s such a fun family outing!

  14. I can tell your family had a really fun time! That photo of your family with Charlie Brown is funny but shows their excitement. There is really nothing like a day at a theme park to make new memories.

  15. Wow, this park looks amazing. We have been at their “cousin” park Knott’s and Cedar Fair and we love how clean those parks are and all how awesome the rides and shows are. We love Peanuts too

  16. Looks like loads of fun. There is something about seeing your childhood characters that make you a child again. I would be where the animals are and everyone else would be on the rides.
