Before I had the opportunity to review Graeter’s yummy treats I had not heard of them.  Where have they been all of my life?  They have so many choices in their flavors and come in Ice Cream, Gelato, Sorbet and low glycemic.  Their types combined have 34 flavors.  They have a flavor of the month.  December’s is Peppermint Stick.

Their process of making their ice cream is called French Pot Process.  I think it is so neat as I have never heard of companies these days making their product like this.  Can you imagine their fastest workers hand packing 15 pints a minute? That blew me away.

Graeter’s is now the only commercial ice cream manufacturer anywhere in the world to use French Pot freezers, and its two-gallon batches are the smallest in the industry. The original plant in Mt Auburn had only four French Pots. The new plant in Bond Hill has 32 French Pot Freezers running day and night to keep up with demand.
