Lately I’ve been a little worried about the outbreak of measles and the flu. It seems like everywhere you go someone you know or some family member has the flu or a bad hacking cough that needs urgent attention! Hold on to your seat because as of today a new mobile app called Doctor on Demand can connect you with a physician anywhere and at any time of day for a $40 live by video consultation via laptop, tablet or smartphone.

The great thing about this service is it is available in 15 states,  California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, and Washington. You can  Talk to a Doctor Now – Live by Video, Voice & Chat 24/7‎ and every physician is board certified to handle your concerns. With hundreds of physicians already signed up, they’re ready to answer your everyday medical concerns for regarding  prescription orders, allergies, sports injuries, rashes, and travel issues.

Now remember, for urgent care or major chronic medical issues always seek a near by emergency room visit. It’s so awesome to see this service back again. Long years ago, doctors would visit your home which was known as ” House Calls”  to address every concern in person. I can remember my mom talking about how some of my siblings were born at home by a certified doctor.
With all the latest technology around every doctor I know uses a smartphone or tablet device to communicate with his her patients. Everything they need is accessible with those device to research and answer their patients concerns. Just think about it. If you’re not feeling well and need a physician, you can login to  Doctors On Demand and fill them in on your concerns (after you have filled out necessary medial history), relax on your couch in the convenience of your home and wait for a doctor to address your non emergency medical questions.
I’ve been a little worried about how some of my medication have been making me feel sluggish and drained. I think the dosage strength maybe a little to strong and the side effects are really making me feel uncomfortable. I have an appointment to see my doctor but it will be a while before I can go in to see him because his office is closed for renovation. My concerns are not an emergency and to be honest I just don’t feel like sitting around in a crowed ER waiting room. However I do feel the need to speak to a board certified Doctor who may be able to advise or adjust my medications until my next appointment.

I login into Doctor on Demand, provided them with my information and my medical concerns and before you know it, I was connected live video chat face-to-face with Dr. Amy Halanski. I was shocked as to see just how fast we were connected. Her in her home and I in my home relaxing on the couch..awesome I say, awesome!

I spoke to Dr. Amy about my concerns and she addressed every concern one at a time , she made me feel so comfortable and hears why; She spoke in such a soft tone that made me relax and open up, she took time to explain each medication and there purpose, she gave me advise as to what questions to ask my doctor when I see him, she advised me on how I can cut one of my medications in half to reduce some of the side effects plus she ask were there any concerns that I had that might need a prescription for and if so she would address my pharmacy with a script.

It was just a wonderful experience to be able to speak to a board certified Doctor via video chat,  the whole session only took a few minute and I didn’t have to leave my home. I can  truly say I will surely utilize the Doctor on Demand App again , it’s an professional website with lots of licensed U.S physicians in area’s like, medical, psychologist or lactation specialist.
