I haven't blogged in awhile due to the fact that I have been busy working on my invention, but I had to write about this! Many of you know from reading my blog, that I love kids and it bothers me to see anyone hurting a child rather it be physical or mental. Children are so precious. There are so many parents seeking to adopt that right child, but in my opinion there is no "Right Child!"
I read a story the other day about an American family returning a Russian boy back to the orphanage in Russia because of his behavior.
Now I don't dispute the boys behavior but what I think was wrong is that the Russian orphanaged should have share more medical and behavior information with this family. The family could have reached out to a child psychologist to have him evaluated. This would have given them insight to the boys past history.
It sounded like before this child even reached the American family he had deep issues that should have been addressed long before he went to anyone. I'm not mad at this family by no means but I am a little upset about how they returned him.
They returned him back with know concern about how this would effect him or the orphanage, better yet they return him like he was a product or something.
Do you know how many times I wish my kids had come with an instruction manual?? lol lol But they didn't. We had to learn on our own how to deal with our kids without having the option of saying...I Don't Want Them!
I say, don't be so eagered to push your kid away. Seek to find the cause and then the solutions to help them live a healthier life. We have so many resources available to help many families.
Remember "Kids Need Love Too" ~Hug them~Squeeze them~Kiss them~Love them....you never know, they might try and give us PARENTS back too.
LOL ~Smile~

This is such a sad story filled with so many errors. MY cousin adopted a girl from U.S. and she had serious attachment issues and still does, but they love her and do the best they can. If kiddos came with instruction manuals, would we even read them?
Thanks for stopping by on my SITS Day.

How I wish mine come with the instruction manual too! :D Great post and yes it is so sad about what happened to the poor kid. You're spot on about him being treated like a product or an unfitted gloved being returned to the store.
Happy SITS Tuesday!
Just came from SITS to say hi.
Hi, I agree with you. More information should be released to the perspective parents. It's really sad on both the child and the parents. Hope we all learn from this and it never happends again.
Poor little guy. I don't know the full story, but it seems a little harsh to me...do they really want a child and everything that entails? Or do they just want the bragging rights of having one?
Nice Post~!!!. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

So glad I came across your comment on my blog! Found yours and can't wait to read your posts! I'm with you, wouldn't it be so much easier if we had instruction manuals?!
Popped in from SITS to say hi! I heard about that woman. Isn't that terrible?
This story burned me up inside. I'm not saying the child didn't have psychological issues, but those parents did not do the right thing. So sad!
Thanks for stopping by on my special SITS day.
That is so sad :(
