Back to School!

It's been a wonderful Holiday for me and my kids but "It's Back to School". A new year and a new beginning! I know it will be hard getting them back in the swing of things since they have been off for sometime but as parents we must help them by allowing them to get the proper rest that there bodies are required to have.

I know many of us have been in a lazy mood since we have been off. We enjoying sleeping in and staying up late , getting away with not cleaning our house or kids room...lol lol playing games and having so much fun, but The Holidays are over!

It's Back To School !

The best way to help your child get back into the everyday routine for school is to gradually do it....

send them to bed a little earlier then the regular bed schedule time....
limit TV when they come home.......
allow them at least a hour of rest before they start homework....
be patient with them the first week or so.....
this will help to keep them from getting frustrated about doing school work so fast.

Remember they have been off for a while and it will take sometime to get them back on track...let's do it the right way!

My girls all couldn't wait to get back to school- I'm lucky that way. And their whole life I have told them- going to bed early is a way to be kind to your body , give it the rest it needs. Listen to your body, when you are tired, go to bed. Now I have four kids who go to bed when they are tired- vacation or not! I'm actually volunteering at the school today- for four hours!- but tomorrow I'm going to be a blogging machine. ;)

Found you via SITS.

Yes, it is hard to get them and me back to our reality. My kids love school so there's no problem with that, but I have to start sending them to bed earlier 3-4 days before to get use to getting up again.

Aw, Lisa, that's great advise for moms and dads out there! As a former teacher, I can tell you the first day back was usually pretty quiet and the children tended to be a little sleepy off and on. It didn't last long though before their routines were back to normal!
