"Mommy why is this happening to me"?

Each day millions of moms and dads hear these words "Why is this happening to me". Some children are going through some difficult times right now. Some behavior has changed, some have become rude, some have been bullied, some are experiencing changes in there body many are dealing with bed wetting...let's say over 13 million kids alone in the United States for that condition.

Some having social problems that they have never had before and many are just feeling lost. Lots of children's lives have changed from sickness, accidents or physical disabilities. That's why so many times we hear them say, Mommy Why?

I think we should understand that kids have feelings too; rather it be they are worried about having bed wetting issues or just about life in general. As a parent we must not push aside their feelings for a later day....you know how parents say..Not Now Son....Later Honey....Don't Worry Baby...Everythings OK.

Well it's not OK, it's not going to get better until parents address there childrens concerns. You see sometimes they need our help right then and there to help them understand Why these things are happening. Even if it's a kid who is suffering from bed wetting problems or a child who is being bullied or a child who has been hurt. We must Talk with them right then in there. Talking later to our kids could lead them to believe we don't Care!

From one mom to another....Talk to your children....Answer the Why question as soon as they ask. Comfort them and let them know that know matter what may happen you'll always be there to answer there Why Questions.

My Black Friday Plan!!!

OK here we go! TwitterMoms is giving away a $75 Gift Card to 12 people who post about there Black Friday Plan! Woohoo, who wouldn't want that.

This is how My Black Friday would start. I'm getting up real early still wearing my PJ's..... I don't think anyone will notice ---do you...lol I will be sitting in my car with lots of coffee and donuts hoping that I don't have to pee..lol

I plan on visiting Target, Walmart, Best Buy, Kmart and many more. Mind you I'm older now I'm not like I use to be as far as running. So my strategy would be to be as kind as I can be to everyone..hoping they will understand that I'm old and need a little hand.

I promise not to step on anyone toes, grab any hair, knock out any teeth. Sike!!!!!.......hehehehehe believe me I have seen this happen more then once.

1) I will get up early as I stated.

2) Hubby don't know it, but he will be standing in line for me.

3) I have my coupons already.

4) I will shop early online too. I may not even get to sleep but staying up all night to get the best deals will be worth it....all for the love of my KIDS!

5) Last but not least my advise: If it's meant to have whatever items you are seeking you will get it...if not, remember to just enjoy the moment of being with your friends or love ones! There will be many more great sales!

I got to go now... need to start my work out. I want to be ready for Black Friday in advance this way this old lady can defend herself....lol lol it's a crazy world out there during this time of year.

Check me out: I'm the blue guy and of course I have to work out a little more then others. the donut challenge was so hard...lol lol

After all this is over the only question I would ask anyone on Black Friday is Where's My Car...sometimes these shopping specials give me the some-timers disease..sometime I can remember and sometime I can't...what's this blog about?.......lol lol

Have a Wonderful Holiday!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!! Wow it's here again!

Well it's here again, seems like we just enjoyed summer and Wow here we are getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving. I must confess I'm not that happy about celebrating Thanksgiving this year, so much has happen! I lost my second sister 6 months ago today to breast cancer and we are all having a very hard time.

This was her favorite time of the year , celebrating Thanksgiving and Xmas...she would decorate her home so pretty with many many decorations. We would get together with the rest of the family and do our after Thanksgiving shopping making sure that we stopped and ate breakfast and lunch...lol lol . Our husbands would say ...(it seems to me that y'all just went around eating instead of shopping) lol...what little did they know we did and we spent all there money too. :0)

I say to everyone, enjoy your family and give thanks for everything that you have, for you never know how Quick Life Can Change !
As you sit at the dinner table give thanks not only for the food that will nourish your body but also for the love of your family.
Afterwards sit with your love ones and savory every minute with them...Tell them how much you love them ....share old family stories....laugh ...smile and enjoy each other!

This my dear will be remembered as Priceless Moments!

Happy Thanksgiving To Everyone!

Being sick really SUCKS...old school remedy's still works though!

I've been sick for a while with the stomach flu and WOW..it's NO Joke! I was sharing some of my old school remedies with a friend and she recommended that I write a blog. So here we go..lol it's so funny how medicine has changed. Back in the day everyone used old school medicine's first before using modern medicine.

Old school medicine worked just as Good and nine times out of ten you had all the ingredients right in your home. Right!

When my kids had a diaper rash I would use Crisco..YES..you heard me right Crisco..lol I would apply the Crisco grease to there clean buttocks 3x a day... and Boom...it's gone. It still works to this day I use it now on my grand kids!LOL

I love me some Vick's.... there's so much to do with Vick's. Like using Vick's on the bottom of your feet and adding socks to them will help to break up the cold. I still rub my kids down with Vick's and still uses it in the shower too.

Remember the Hot Tidy...man it works really well and the after effects are just Awesome..lol lol this one is for Adults ONLY..lol you add a shot of whisky ,a lemon,a little honey, tea and mix it altogether giving you a warm sensation resulting in feeling much better...Woohoo..lol need one of those right now myself...lol lol breaks up the cold.

I love to use salt warm water, it will helps ease the pain of a mouth soar or a canker-soar....Holy Molly it hurts for a moment but man you'll be ready to eat any and everything ...lol

You could also use warm salt water to help with soar throats and tooth aches....it helps a lot! But honey and lemon juice works well with little kids for soar throats.

Years ago we use to use a product called 666 which is another cold remedy....it taste like crap but it works well with colds, flu symptoms...yeah I still use it when I can find it.

Other old school remedy's are:

Chamomile Tea for Colic is good for babies: 1-2 ounces in a bottle.

Baking Soda for bites is a good mix:
baking soda, water makes a paste apply to itching area.

Cayenne Pepper : is good for Nosebleeds...didn't know that ha!

A Bandanna for Headaches: wrap cloth with many ice cubes using a bandanna to help hold cloth in place will help to ease a headache.

(Never apply ice directly to skin...it will burn)!

Guess what....Gray Duck Tape is good for warts....it inhibit the growth.

Last but not least.....Always check with your Physician....this is just my old school nursing remedies!

Come-on... share what old school remedies you have up your mom sleeve?

Tx A Caringmom wishing you well :0)

"A Bedwetters Prayer"

Now I lay me down to sleep...
I pray the lord my soul to keep...
but if I shall wet before I awake...
I pray to the Lord NO MORE MISTAKES.

I know I'm not alone...
so I pray for others to see...
that I have a God who understands me.

So thank you Lord...
for this dry night....
and one day soon...
I know.... I'll Be Alright!

Just a little prayer to let them know...... He is always listening!

Is this your child!!!!

As a parent, some of us have come across this issue with our children experiencing bed wetting one way or another. It is considered one of the most embarrassing situation that a child and parent has ever dealt with. It's really not as bad as you think! When you take time to address the issues you'll find that there are many solutions available to help your child!

Waking up with soiled clothing, sheets and urine odor that sometimes can stay in a child's rooms for weeks can effect a child social life as well as his/her behavior.
You must express with them that they are not alone! Bed wetting is one of those taboo subjects which people don't wish to speak about.

If your child is still having little accidents during the night, then it's time to set aside some talk time to learn what is causing him/her to wet the bed. So many things can play into this problem some may be medical and some may not. Upon helping your child, if you find that it is occurring more then normal always seek help from your child's physician this way the physician can rule out any medical concerns.

First:
1)You must be patient.
2)You must talk, talk, talk.
3)You must not be discourage, but encouraging.
4)You must share your feelings of understanding with a quiet tone(Not with frustration).
5)You must let the child know that he can conquer this problem with the support of mom, dad.
6)You must take it slow...don't rush give the child time to understand what is happening.

Remember parents...these are our children and we want nothing but the best for them. So give your child time to over come this issue it is a natural stage in there lives and again many solutions are available...I'm working on one now!

Until next time,Blessings to you and your family!
