As a parent, some of us have come across this issue with our children experiencing bed wetting one way or another. It is considered one of the most embarrassing situation that a child and parent has ever dealt with. It's really not as bad as you think! When you take time to address the issues you'll find that there are many solutions available to help your child!
Waking up with soiled clothing, sheets and urine odor that sometimes can stay in a child's rooms for weeks can effect a child social life as well as his/her behavior.
You must express with them that they are not alone! Bed wetting is one of those taboo subjects which people don't wish to speak about.
If your child is still having little accidents during the night, then it's time to set aside some talk time to learn what is causing him/her to wet the bed. So many things can play into this problem some may be medical and some may not. Upon helping your child, if you find that it is occurring more then normal always seek help from your child's physician this way the physician can rule out any medical concerns.
First:
1)You must be patient.
2)You must talk, talk, talk.
3)You must not be discourage, but encouraging.
4)You must share your feelings of understanding with a quiet tone(Not with frustration).
5)You must let the child know that he can conquer this problem with the support of mom, dad.
6)You must take it slow...don't rush give the child time to understand what is happening.
Remember parents...these are our children and we want nothing but the best for them. So give your child time to over come this issue it is a natural stage in there lives and again many solutions are available...I'm working on one now!
Until next time,Blessings to you and your family!

Very nice post.
Luckily, my kids don't have that issue, but my little sister did.
I remember growing up how hard it was on her and 25 years ago there was not much help either.
Stopping by from SITS...
What a great post! I know a lot of parents who are dealing with this issue, and it can be very frustrating. Thanks for sharing some great tips on how to manage it. Nice to 'meet' you!
My oldest had an issue but we found out she had a fused vulva. We had to give her medicine and she was fine.
Thanks for stopping by my blog:)

My boys are 6 & 7 and they at one point would do that. We realized that it was helped by sending them to the bathroom right before they went to bed and also limiting their fluid intake. I realize that some people don't think that the fluid intake has anything to do with it but it worked for us.
I totally agree...it's terrible...and heart breaking. Thanks for the understanding post.

I don't have kids, so this isn't an issue in my house, but it sounds like it would be helpful for parents.
Thank you for visiting last week on my SITS day and for following along! I'm so happy to have you!
We are just now potty training my 3 year old...and he is doing so well!!!
Sorry, to hear about your sister. It was still nice to hear that you are still THANKFUL in everything!
Thanks for making my Sit's Day so special!
Blessings to you,

My oldest son who is now 5 has had some issues with bed wetting. They are few and far between now. But I did exactly what you suggested in your post and it really does work.
The last thing we should do as parents is to make our children feel bad for wetting the bed. So, patience is definitely key.
Thanks so much for the great post. And thanks so much for stopping by my Painter Mommy blog and commenting on the "Admitting Wrong" post. :)
