What is bedwetting?

What is bedwetting?Bedwetting is when your child urinates during the night while he/she sleeps. Your child's doctor may refer to bedwetting as primary nocturnal enuresis.Bedwetting is not a disease or condition- in fact,it's normal and very common for children under age 5 to wet the bed.Bedwetting is more common then we think. If your child is between ages 5 and 15 and still wets the bed at night,he or she is not alone. An estimated 5 to 7 million children in the U.S. alone wet the bed. And believe it or not bedwettingis more common for boys than girls.Should I worry about bedwetting?Bedwetting usually becomes a concern when a child older than 5 wets the bed more than two times a month. Most children who wet the bed are physically and emotionally healthy, but if bedwetting continues and is not addressed,it can negatively affect your child's social and emotional development.Again this is why I have focused so much on developing a timepiece devices that will help our children and adults.Well until next time support your child with words of encouragement!!!!

This too shall pass.
